Josmaury Becerra Bandes, known as Jos Bandes, originally from Venezuela/Spain moved to London in 2015 to train in and pursue a dance career. She studies at Lewisham College for two years, learning the fundamentals in contemporary dance, jazz and ballet technique whilst additionally gaining performance skills. Post-graduation from Lewisham she completed 1 year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. It was during this time that she felt that Laban was unfortunately not the place for her and took the brave step of departing the course prematurely, investing her time to train physically and mentally to continue improving and keep dancing. One of the reasons she auditioned for notetoSELF DanCe was due to the fact that during her journey at Lewisham college she had the pleasure of meeting Natasha Lee whilst she was working there as a choreographer. She was presented with new ways in which she wanted to move and what type of dancer she wanted to become. Upon her 2nd attempt at auditioning for the company, Jos was very pleased to be offered a place with notetoSELF DanCe.
